Connye “D’Lita” Bryant, also known as Connye B the Queen of Gospel, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. She was born and raised in Clanton, Alabama. Connye was a graduate of Alabama State University in Montgomery where she majored in Communications. Connye received an Honorary Doctorate from American Bible University in Atlanta. Connye has been with iHeartMedia since 1998 she started her radio career at WXVI-1600AM in Montgomery. She was a member of the GMWA Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals. Connye loved speaking publicly, singing, mentoring youth, and traveling. More importantly, she loved serving and lived by the quote “I love you, but God loves you so much more.”
